On the 5 November, Martinez Hair Salon like all other hairdressers and barbershops was forced to close as once again we were plunged into lockdown, although only for 4 weeks this time. We had only been cutting hair for 4 months, having reopened on 4 July. Working longer hours and adapting the salon to keep all clients safe, we were just getting on top of things again. We have now been given the green light to open again from 2 December and we will be doing our best to fit everybody in. In fact the government’s COVID winter plan has revealed that the ‘personal care’ sector to which hairdressers belong will open regardless of the tier that an area is placed into.
